JOA Award Categories and Qualifications

---

~ A youth who is involved in the Juvenile Justice System and demonstrated cooperation with professionals in the System to improve his/her lifestyle and environment.

OR

~ A youth, person or organization who volunteers service to youths and adults in the community and demonstrates a positive role model for others.

A social worker within the Youth Service Agency Network of Lake County who has proven dedication to youth (or) a DCFS worker who has demonstrated an attitude of cooperation and a desire to work with other professionals within the Juvenile Justice System.  

A Juvenile Court Services worker who had displayed significant efforts to improve the lives of youth who are involved in the System, and who has made recognizable contributions toward the advancement of the Juvenile Justice System of Lake County.

A Juvenile Officer or Chief of Police who has demonstrated his/her commitment to the youth in his/her community through significant efforts both at work and in the community.  A Juvenile Officer of Chief of Police who has made significant contributions to promote the advancement of the Juvenile Justice System and the Juvenile Officers Association of Lake County.
